Founded in 2009 by Brad and Kate Mead alongside David DeFazio, the distillery made waves by bringing in industry legend Steve Nally—former Master Distiller for Maker’s Mark—to orchestrate their initial operations. Situated at a high altitude in the Big Horn Basin, the distillery’s multi-story rickhouses endure intense annual temperature swings of up to 115°F. This extreme frontier climate forces the barrels to "breathe" aggressively, accelerating flavor extraction and imbuing the bourbon with deep, mature notes of caramel, baking spice, and vanilla that you won't find anywhere else.
