The striking, rich red ceramic bottle of Casa Obsidiana Añejo Tequila is designed as an homage to Mexican cubism. Its distinctive color reflects the iron-rich, volcanic earth of the Jalisco estate fields where the agave is grown. Every handcrafted vessel is adorned with a unique, circular obsidian stone relic, symbolizing continuity and the ancient ritual of the land.
Inside the bottle is an ultra-premium, additive-free spirit crafted at the base of the Volcán de Tequila (NOM 1513). This tequila is a high-profile collaboration merging 260 years of agave-growing heritage from the Beckmann Gonzalez family, the precision of Master Tequilero Francisco Quijano, and the visionary barrel-aging techniques of fine winemaker Jean-Charles Boisset. Moving away from standard bourbon barrel aging, this expression is uniquely matured for 15 months in French oak casks that previously held premium Napa Valley Chardonnay, delivering an extraordinarily sophisticated flavor profile built for collectors and tequila purists alike.
Aroma: Dark and inviting with prominent notes of toasted oak, vanilla cream, roasted coffee beans, clove, and a subtle undertone of coconut.
Palate: Full-bodied and complex. Initial layers of rich caramel, cinnamon, and juicy raisin give way to punchy, peppery cooked agave, warm baking spices, and a hint of bittersweet orange peel.
Finish: Long, clean, and warming with a dry, slightly tannic oak structure and lingering vanilla sweetness.
