Highland tequila from Arandas, Los Altos de Jalisco
El Cristiano makes 100% agave tequila in Arandas, in the Los Altos highlands of Jalisco. Los Altos means "the highlands": the hill country of eastern Jalisco, as opposed to the valley around the town of Tequila. The brand harvests only agave that's spent at least six years in the ground, ferments with its own proprietary yeast, and says it uses no additives.
The people behind it describe themselves as a small group of friends with more than four decades in the tequila business, working with third-generation tequila makers. We carry both ends of the range. The Silver is an unaged blanco at 80 proof, and Tequila-of-the-Month Club Intro members poured it in July 2026. The Extra Añejo rests three years in American oak.
