El Cristiano Extra Añejo — "Black," if you ask the distillery — comes out of Casa Tequilera de Arandas in the Jalisco Highlands and spends three years resting in American oak. Extra Añejo means aged at least three years, which is the longest official aging category for tequila. That time in the barrel is where the caramel, dried fruit, and soft spice come from. Additive-free, 100% Blue Weber agave, and built for a rocks glass — not a shot glass.
